“I felt partially paralyzed,” said Michael Jordan reflecting back on June 11th, 1997. It was the day of Game 5 of the NBA Finals and Jordan had woke up that morning drenched in sweat. After being told by Chicago Bulls medical personnel that there would be no way he’d be able to play Game 5, MJ later dragged himself out of bed and to the Delta Center to lead the Bulls to a 90-88 win over the Utah Jazz, pouring in 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and finally collapsing in Scottie Pippen’s arms with the game coming to a close. Jordan was wearing the Black/Red Air Jordan XII at the time, and Jordan Brand is bringing the shoes back out again, this time with a swapped out suede for leather upper along with a stylized “sick face” logo at the heel with “97″ for the year and “38″ for the number of points Jordan scored.
