With winter just a few short months away, Nike is getting us ready with their latest offering. The name of the pack is the “Matagi” and in Japanese, a Matagi is known as a hunter that utilizes old hunting methods. In the Ainu language, the word “Matagi” is believed to originate from the pharse matangi matangitono which translates to “the man of winter.” The pack consists of the Terminator Hi, Air Baked Mid, and the Air Macropus Lite, with the latter two being the most daring with their prominent use of fur & horse hair. The Terminator features a canvas/horse hair upper with a fur collar lining and leather rawhide laces. All 3 are quickstrikes and will be available for pre-order starting October 15, 2009 from atmos.
