Tinker Hatfield is in Orlando, FL today to be present for the inaugural presentation of The Bowerman award at the annual convention of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Bowerman trophy – designed by Hatfield who was a former track star under Bowerman at the University of Oregon – will be given to the nation’s top collegiate men’s and women’s track and field athlete. In the video, Hatfield talks about footwear design and his former coach and Co-Founder of Nike, and goes on to discuss his involvement in the design and creation of The Bowerman trophy.
