When the Boston Celtics take on the Orlando Magic tomorrow, Ray Allen will be wearing a special make-up version of the upcoming Air Jordan Alpha 1 shoe. Colorblocked for the holiday season, this Christmas Day Alpha 1 style adds splashes of red on the laces, midsole stitching, and “Swoosh” & Air Jordan “Wings” logo badging to an already familiar Celtics-green palette. The Air Jordan Alpha 1 is a quarter-century-later modern update to the classic Peter Moore-designed Air Jordan 1 silhouette and features a full-length, bottom-loaded (see: Tinker Hatfield on Air Jordan 2010) Zoom Air unit which is partially visible through a translucent window seen underfoot.
