For this Winter, PF Flyers has decided to release a more upscale version of their 1979 classic, the Glide. This re-issue, offered in Black Quilted Textile/Leather and Brown Quilted Textile Leather, showcases a terry lining, leather laces, and padded tongue and heel ribs. PF Flyers says the quilted upper “provides as much warmth as Down.” These new shoes also feature the patented PF Flyer Posture Foundation insole, an insert developed in 1933 by then-owner B.F. Goodrich (yes, the tire manufacturer) to distribute weight evenly by shifting it to the outside of the foot, reducing leg strain. Retail is $120.
