Jerome Brown drafts up a dressier, more formal approach with his footwear concept in our continuing LeBron James Lifestyle Design series. As we originally announced here, the next generation of designers at Project Bluefoot were recently tasked with the design challenge of creating a Lifestyle-themed footwear product for LeBron James. We have teamed up exclusively with Project Bluefoot to allow each designer to essentially “takeover” the Counter Kicks shoe silhouette logo with their Lifestyle LeBron concept and provide the backstory to it. Check the bottom of this post for a complete listing of all our previously featured designers. Continue reading to see Jerome Brown’s 3 design boards and full backstory.
The LeBron James Lifestyle footwear is designed for LeBron’s love to be in sneakers off the court when going out to parties or just formal conventions. With style, fashion and formality, it is built to play a role in LeBron’s everyday life.
My concept is to cross a sneaker and a formal shoe for this project. The upper is made out of durable leather for comfort along with a no-lace system via a replaced lock-button closure I designed that makes it easy to get in and out. As for the midsole, the cushioning unit is designed to be lightweight, so I used Nike Lunar lightweight foam to polish off one of the most important parts of the shoe that brings comfort to everyday life.
The LeBron Lifestyle footwear is a casual & formal footwear design all rolled in one.
