Xavier Jones comes through with a casual silhouette based on one of “The LeBrons” characters in our near complete LeBron James Lifestyle Design series. As we originally announced here, the next generation of designers at Project Bluefoot were recently tasked with the design challenge of creating a Lifestyle-themed footwear product for LeBron James. We have teamed up exclusively with Project Bluefoot to allow each designer to essentially “takeover” the Counter Kicks shoe silhouette logo with their Lifestyle LeBron concept and provide the backstory to it. Check the bottom of this post for a complete listing of all our previously featured designers. Continue reading to see Xavier Jones’s 3 design boards and full backstory.
The Nike “LeBron Business” shoe was based on “Business LeBron” – a character from the Nike commercials titled “The LeBrons “. In the commercials, “Business LeBron” is the cooler, more under spoken character. He takes himself very seriously and he‘s all about his business. This is where I got the title of the shoe from. I wanted to make a shoe with urban style so that LeBron could wear it throughout his daily life, and also make the shoe clean and crisp so when LeBron’s business side comes out, the sneaker could also transform. Additional inspiration came from sneakers that I think Lebron would wear everyday, so I based my designs around the footwear choices Lebron has worn in the past and then morphed them to a more causal shoe. -Xavier Jones
