There’s been a lot of buzz over the last 24 hours on Baron Davis’ dribble across New York City video which continues to make the Internet rounds today. We’ve gotten emails asking about the Li-Ning shirts in the footage, so we snapped some quick, up-close shots to show you the “Beardman” and Li-Ning Logo tees worn by Baron Davis and Common in the viral clip. ^^Li-Ning will be officially launching their Baron Davis footwear and apparel lines on February 15th via an online store for the U.S. market which we’ll have full coverage on soon. Otherwise, the only in-store play right now is at their first U.S. retail store in Portland’s Pearl District. Beardman shirts and 3 BD Doom colorways should be available. On Feb 15th, sneaker offerings expand to 5 colorways which we’ll unveil here on Counter Kicks in full with our design story on the shoe…

Yup, the other 2 colorways are a white-based “UCLA” edition which we posted exclusively on our Twitter account a couple weeks ago (http://twitter.com/counterkicks) and then a Red Snakeskin style which looks exactly like the Blue Snakeskin model Baron has been wearing on court recently, just with a Red upper. We will have detailed product shots of all of those and more very soon. Check the Twitter account and you’ll find some goodies there

On the Beardman shirt, Black/Red is the only color I’ve seen thus far. I imagine if they do it properly, they bang out a few other styles to hook up with the shoes.
February 15th is really the big drop date for all of this stuff. Like I said earlier, the Li-Ning Portland store is open but they do not currently have any Beardman or Baron Davis t-shirts in stock yet. Baron will be at the Portland store on the 15th next month to “officially” launch all the products. We’ll bring you full coverage of that but you’ll definitely get a chance to see all of the offerings on Counter Kicks before anywhere else.
