Nike collaborated with Modell’s Sporting Goods in Times Square, New York City, to utilize the store’s entire 1st floor for the Nike World Basketball Festival. The interior endured a full basketball makeover, featuring a plethora of national team basketball gear.

On the evening of Wednesday, August 11th, Modell’s held an exclusive grand opening party for invited guests, featuring beautiful NBA models and legendary DJ Cucumber Slice (Bobbito Garcia) on the ones and twos. Modell’s officially opened up to the public the following day raffling off numerous tickets to the USA Basketball Showcase at Radio City Music Hall. On Friday, August 13th, Modell’s held a guest appearance by Team USA guard Stephen Curry.
