Last night’s NBA Kicks action included an exciting mix of new models and old standbys.
In the new model category, Kobe Bryant laced up the Black/Del Sol-Dark Grey-White for its first NBA game appearance. He finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in a 97-82 road loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Bryant officially debuted the Nike Zoom Kobe VI model on Christmas Day with the green mamba-inspired “Green Means Go” colorway.
Down in Miami, LeBron James chose the Nike LeBron 8 V/2, breaking his run in the original version of the LeBron 8, while teammate Dwyane Wade wore two colorways of the Air Jordan 2010 after briefly sporting the Air Jordan 2011 in Miami’s yuletide matchup with the Lakers.
In Cleveland, Gilbert Arenas busted out the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Spacejam”, which he wore earlier in the season as a Washington Wizard. The patent leather may have added a bit of shine to Gil’s game, as he scored a team-high 22 points off the bench and added 6 rebounds and 11 assists to help the Magic to a 110-95 victory over the Cavs.
Many shoes continued duty as go-to’s, including Tim Duncan’s adidas Big Fundamental, Derrick Rose’s adidas adiZero Rose, Amar’e Stoudemire’s Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer, and Kyle Korver’s Converse Star Player EVO.
