Butt wait, there’s more.
California woman Bistra Pashamova is suing New Balance claiming stated health promises – like firmer butt, legs and overall physique – wearing the brand’s toning shoes is “nothing more than deceptive marketing tools“.
The lawsuit joins other recent false claims contentions against Toning footwear makers including Skechers and Reebok.
Skechers commands a leading 51% of the now over $1 billion a year Toning shoe business. Reebok has a 37% share and New Balance with 6%.
Only a matter of time before No. 4 Toning manufacturer Avia, with just under 4% of the market, gets served with papers?
