Sad but stylish.
Forget that the Cleveland Cavaliers lost LeBron James to Miami, lost key players for most of the season to injury, have absorbed the ridicule and pity of watchers everywhere, and now own the longest losing streak in NBA history. Not important.
What is important is that they’re still in the shoe game.
Last night, the Cavs tried to make a run late but fell to the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 111-105, nabbing the record of longest losing streak – 24 games. But at least they fielded some solid kicks. Manny Harris’ White/Red Air Jordan 13 Retro, Daniel Gibson’s Nike Zoom Soldier IV, and Ramon Sessions’ Reebok Zig Slash provided a few sparks in a game where the Cavaliers’ already dark season dimmed just a bit more. Maybe they should try sandals next game?
Elsewhere, J.R. Smith and Nick Young broke out new team-themed colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, Shane Battier gave up his Rockets red PEAK’s for an all-grey edition, and Chris Paul sported a special Jordan CP3.IV for the Lakers game.
NBA Kicks ahead…
