Gilbert Arenas was a bench player in New York City five days ago. Last night, he got to be a starter and a trainer at the same time. Tabbed as starting point guard for the Magic’s asbestos-induced make-up game with the Knicks, Gil celebrated by taking the court in the Black/Black/Medium Grey-White Nike Air Trainer Huarache Retro. He added another Gil-esque stat line of 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals but Orlando fell to the Knicks in OT, 113-106. Carmelo’s 39 and 10 had something to do with that.
Along with Gil (dust off your “Where’s Waldo?” skills for the pic), look for Jrue Holiday in a Sixers-friendly adidas Crazy 8, Brandon Jennings in White/Red Under Armour Micro G Black Ice Lows, Amar’e Stoudemire going back to the Nike Zoom KD II, and A.J. Price, DeJuan Blair and Gerald Wallace in Air Jordan retros ahead in NBA Kicks.
Oh and Bucks guard Michael Redd, playing his first NBA game since tearing the ACL and MCL in his left knee on January 10, 2010, came back in the Nike Hyperdunk 2010.
