Jack Gray talks adidas Basketball.
adidas Basketball has more than tripled in business over the last year and Jack Gray is one of the key figures behind the scenes leading the charge to grow the three stripes brand.
CounterKicks pitched a few questions to Jack last week at the official launch of the first sub-10 ounce performance bball shoe, the adidas adiZero Crazy Light. We ask Jack about the major points to adidas Basketball’s recent market share surge, where the original push came from to design the lightest basketball shoe ever, whether Lightweight and adiZero will continue to be featured company platforms, plans to keep growing the Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard brands, and ultimately, where adidas Basketball is headed in the coming months and years.

Great adidas brand info from Jack. Dope to see the three stripes swarming the current industry Lightweight trend and continuing to push the envelope on it.
Adidas is doing crazy work lately. They are smart to lead on the lightweight kicks story; paying off for em now.
Love all the adi basketball models they’ve been releasing this year. Rose 1, Rose 1.5, Superbeast, all classics. Crazy Light is on some next ish…can’t wait to rock a pair.
Thanks for posting this
excellent guy to interview. and good questions too
Really great to hear Jack talk about adidas as the #1 brand now for lightweight. Incredible accomplishment putting out a 9.8oz basketball shoe and keeping it under wraps for so long. Well done questions and responses.
Enjoyed this. Great interview as always guys.
Crazy Light = better than anything Nike has put out in the last couple years. Adi is coming strong.
Jack Gray knows his stuff. He’s doing great things at adidas. AIT group over there got lots more innovation in the works. Much respect.
Great interview, I think they should really push the lifestyle angle more on Dwight’s shoes, get more outrageous, it suits his personality, plus the big-man shoes always do better when they’re unapologetic, and bold.
adidas Basketball is back!
Nice job on the interview. Great look adidas, coming with the fresh innovation
YEAH!!!!!!
Just watched it, awesome interview on adidas basketball.
