Feelin’ hot, hot, hot.
Rajon Rondo hasn’t quite been himself lately. His kicks haven’t, either. After extended runs in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse and Nike Max Air BB 360 Low, Rondo switched to the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 (in Green/White) last game against the Wizards. Last night in Miami, he debuted another Hyperfuse 2011, going with White/Green. But while he played Rondo-esque last game, he felt the heat against LeBron & Co., adding a meager 7 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and 2 steals as the Celtics lost a big battle for the 2nd seed in the East, 100-77. Maybe he just needs time to settle into the new ‘fuse.
In Orlando, another East battle went down, as the top seed Bulls relied on the Black/Red adidas adiZero Rose 1.5-wearing Derrick Rose and his 39 points to grab a slim 102-99 win over the Magic. Meanwhile, Gilbert Arenas took to the court in the just-released Air Jordan 12 Retro Low “Taxi”, chipping in 5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal off the bench.
Other kicks action included Kevin Durant wearing two different Nike Zoom KD III’s in LA (including the promised fan-designed NIKEiD version) while Kobe caused chaos, Greivis Vasquez continued to wear the Under Armour Prototype 1, and James Johnson stayed cool.
All these and more in NBA Kicks…
