Rajon Rondo and Kobe Bryant decided it was high time to break out some new kicks. This season, Rondo has gone through the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse, Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low and Nike Max Air BB 360 Low, while Kobe began his campaign in the Kobe V and transitioned to the Kobe VI and its various colorways. But sometimes you just need new shoes. Last night, they both did.
Rondo debuted the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 against the Wiz, notching 20 points, 3 rebounds, 14 assists, 6 steals and 1 block to help the C’s grab a 104-88 win. The stat line was reminiscent of Rondo’s production before his slump that happened to start when teammate/BFF Kendrick Perkins was traded. Nothing like shoes to brighten your day.
Out in Portland, Kobe caused a stir by bringing his Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Chaos” to the court, knocking in 24 points before the Blazers put the clamps down and secured the win, 93-86.
