NBA Kicks: Mavs Pull Out Late Leaving Thunder Exposed

Almost done.

Be honest. You thought it was done. You either changed the channel or switched off altogether. With the Thunder up 15 late in the fourth, this series was going back to big D tied 2-2. But then the Dirk of Death happened!

The Diggler started knocking down jumpers, impossible fadeaways, freethrows and with the help of Jason Kidd’s corner 3, the Mavs forced overtime. And then wrapped up the game and perhaps the series. Dirk (Nike Hyperdunk 2010) finished with a game high 40, while Kidd (PEAK Kidd III) ripped the nets with 17, including 3 of 6 from downtown. Mavs: 112. OKC: 105.

KD stuck with his “Scoring Title” Home Nike Zoom KD III‘s for the whole game but unfortunately his shooting woes stuck with him. He managed 29 points on 9 of 22 from the field, including 2 of 7 from the arc. Russell Westbrook (Nike Zoom Hyperfuse) was good for 19, Serge Ibaka (adidas adiPure) showed off his mid-range game for 18 and 10, and Nick Collison (Nike Zoom KD III) chipped in 12 and 7. James Harden (Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low) added 7 and kept the Thunder offense flowing until providing the Archduke Ferdinand moment of the game by fouling out just before the Mavs’ massive run.

Now up 3-1, Dallas returns home to try to choke out OKC in Game 5 Wednesday night.
