Reebok Fall 2011 Preview In 54 Photos

Bright times ahead.

On a rainy Wednesday in New York City last week, Reebok held their Fall 2011 editors preview in a suite at the Empire Hotel. There was an emphasis on all their major lines: Classics, ZigTech and Easy Tone. Also on display were John Wall’s new ZigEncore signature basketball shoes which we were told are still being tweaked before they land on the market. Look for a special John Wall logo and soon be unveiled Wall Season 2: ZigEncore in the new Wizards red, white and blue team colors, though! The other big story of the fall preview was the Reebok Kamikaze refresh, part of the Classics’ line overseen by Swizz Beats. Available in multiple versions for the fall, incuding a women’s and kids edition.

The Reebok Classics umbrella also encompasses the Emporio Armani collection – Reebok’s answer to adidas Y-3 and Silver. The apparel offerings also kept up with the Classics use of the oversized retro “R” as well as ZigTech branding on work out and casual gear.

Reebok’s Fall 2011 color story itself was bright and often neon – like the designers colored in all renderings with highlighters. Enjoy the 54 photos I snapped just for you ahead…

Loving the HexaLite on the Kamikaze 2011(they need to do a TRUE RETRO too BTW).

I’m hoping for more of that HexaLite, ERS, and DMX on new performance models(since they promised us, attitude, and LifeStyle), the big bold tech would suit that perfectly.
It’d also call for more of the legendary to be released.

The rest is good stuff, I still don’t get the Wall-sigs though, way to goody-goody for my taste, and I just don’t get an attitude vibe from ‘em at all.

Yale + K3Q: The Nerf shoes are just for kids. They’re part of the Hasbro partnership that Reebok has in place. Remember the Classics line that used the Monopoly board and designs? That was a Hasbro collaboration. The Nerf shoes use the Nerf technology and foam within the shoe and the Nerf branding, as you can see. Unfortunately I did not have the specs in the catalogue but I’ll look into them some more.

Nene33: I asked about the Kamikaze retro release too, but it doesn’t sound like it’s coming. It was re-ititerated that it’s a version of the Kamikazes, not necessarily a retro re-issue but more a retro re-design or tweak for Swizz. They also made the Kamikazes for ladies at Alicia’s request.

Also, I wanted to see more of the performance footwear too. It was definitely based on the three major lines that they’re pushing instead.

As for the Wall’s, I hope they keep up with customization of the shoe too – to make it more interesting.
