i would imagine that being a subsidiary would grant you those privileges. i always thought they shared R&D and tech specs anyway, but that converse would be the old navy to nike’s banana republic.

As a relativly small company it is tough to establish a technology to mainstream markets. Most of my friends don’t even now about Converse being a subsidiary.
But it also takes it away the brands indepandence in the eyes of the customer

I’d be happy if Converse made the shoes they already have available. I loved the Sicks hi’s, but I cannot find the lows or the EV lows that guys were wearing in the playoffs.

I’m pissed, so after the EVO launch with all the stories, how they’d keep their identity, and how they’d use their heritage, they’re now completely a sub-brand

Yea I’d like to know how much the dude running Converse is getting paid ? It shouldn’t be much !Bottom line is Nike only bought Converse for the Chuck Taylor !
