BREAKING NEWS: Nike LeBron 9.
Here’s a CounterKicks exclusive first look at LeBron James‘ next signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 9. While we can’t show the full LeBron 9 angles yet (that’s coming), these photos highlight plenty of interesting design details which we’ll narrate for you.
Nike LeBron 9 goes for a high tech, high performance feel for next season. The Hyperfuse construction upper features Flywire support and carbon fiber textile detailing. The interior collar also takes padding for LeBron to the next level, introducing Nike Pro Combat lining to a basketball shoe. The heel sports LeBron James’ new “L-Crown-J” logo. Underfoot, a Max Air 180 unit is coupled with forefoot Zoom Air. LeBron’s new graphic badging is also embossed into the exposed Phylon foam at the heel, and the outsole traction pattern is created from integrated chains of the number 6 – LeBron’s jersey number.

I wonder if LeBron preferred the 180 Max heel plus Zoom forefoot to the Full 360 Air Max.
Interesting, the carbon fibre textured upper material has stitching bordering it, while you have the shoe using the Hyperfuse construction which is essentially a no-sew/stitching process. But hyperfuse + Flywire? Can’t wait to see how the shoe turns out.
Looks badass so far. Thank you Nike for putting Zoom Air back in Bron’s regular year shoe model! Ride is so much more responsive. Sweet carbon fiber detailing, looks like it has some inspiration from high end exotic cars?? Petrie putting in work on these.
