Just in case 19-year veteran Shaquille O’Neal and the Boston Celtics made it to the NBA Finals this season, Li-Ning was prepared with a special edition shoe for the Big Fella. On the news of Shaq’s retirement yesterday via Twitter, Li-Ning gives us a look at the Big Shamrock “Finals” Player Exclusive now.

The “Finals” edition shoe uses the same outsole as the standard edition Big Shamrock but switches up the entire upper with hidden laces, elastic midfoot straps, and heavily padded support panels to help aide Shaq back from Achilles tendon and calf injuries this season. A perforated tongue, vamp and heel round out the design with a Shamrock logo placed inside a de facto Superman crest marking the lateral ankle collars.

Unless Li-Ning decides to produce a post-career lineup of Finals-based concept shoes to sell in China, the Li-Ning Big Shamrock “Finals” helps to close out this chapter of Shaquille O’Neal’s long reign.
