The Big AARP, also known as the just retired 19-year NBA legend “Shaquille O’Neal,” chatted with another legend on Thursday night, Li Ning.

Shaq let his fists do the talking with Li Ning (hey, it matches the photo) but also traded words and retirement thoughts with his business friend and part bossman, who O’Neal keeps a China regional endorsement deal with.

According to Li-Ning’s basketball blog, Chairman Li Ning told Shaq he was glad to see him again but a little sad over the news of the retirement.

“We will have the opportunity to continue to cooperate in the future, I hope to have more opportunities, you can come to China, perhaps the Olympic Games, what other sports might be, we can have more cooperation,” said Li Ning.

Li Ning continues to plan for a long post-retirement licensing deal of Shaq’s namesake, likeness and Dunkman logos in the growing Chinese sports and equipment market, where Shaq continues to be a dominating marketing presence.
