All 1 billion+ citizens of China (estimated) turned out for Kevin Garnett‘s appearance inside this giant mall in promotion of a summer tour with KG’s newest endorsed shoe and apparel company ANTA. Plenty of fans came equipped with the China-only release version of Garnett’s “Larry O’Brien” ANTA KG 1 playoff shoes, hoping to get pictures, perhaps an autograph, and certainly some of Garnett’s DNA.
Chinese basketball fans give great reverence to old time superstars, just as Asian youth customarily defer respect to the elderly. So you can just imagine how many people would turn out if Wilt Chamberlain was reanimated and trotted out in the streets of China. Charge everyone a few bucks.
