Cam’s CompFit Cleats.
Spatting has long been a custom in football but Under Armour‘s new boots is designed to make the practice irrelevant.
Here’s some great looks at Cam Newton‘s UA Highlight cleat featuring CompFit ankle construction (also employed in Kemba Walker’s new UA Micro G Juke basketball shoes) for a locked in fit and Under Armour’s proprietary MPZ material adding protection on the tongue. Rounding out the UA Highlight package is a Corespeed support plate running from the heel to midfoot, Micro G foam midsole, and a 4D Foam sockliner that molds to the wearer’s foot and provides extra on-field cushioning.
Cam Newton has been spotted wearing the UA Highlight cleat in both practice and games and you can catch more looks at the shoe each Sunday as the recently signed Under Armour endorser and rookie quarterback leads the Carolina Panthers.

When will these be available?
Well, based on UA’s past moves, they might not even release them. Just look at how long it took for us to be able to get some Prototypes that Jennings wore (and in only one colorway- the Double Nickels). They’re also holdin out on all the sick Bloodline colorways. UA, there are people that want these shoes!
I do hope these release eventually though. The design is so sleek and simple, and the color gradient is too nice. It’d be sweet if a turf version came out, but UA isn’t focused on off field wear just yet. Glad that performance does come first!
Actually it looks like these might be coming out April 6th.
