Osaka Inspire-d.

Mizuno has created a special limited edition colorway of their Wave Inspire 8 runner in tribute to the annual Osaka Marathon. The shoe takes on a bright blue body color inspired by “Aizome,” the Japanese art and technique of using indigo dye to create fabrics. It’s a well placed nod, given that Mizuno was originally founded in Osaka, Japan in 1906 and continues to root its worldwide corporate headquarters in the country.

The Mizuno Wave Inspire 8 “Osaka Marathon” edition will be available in limited quantities at speciality running stores and will be on sale at both the New York City Marathon Expo and Chicago Marathon. Retail is $114.99.
