Huarache Basketball 2012, part 2.
More sock-fit performance basketball styles are coming to court next year. Here’s an exclusive first look at Summer 2012 colorways in the Nike Air Huarache Bball 2012.
Previewed in four makeups:
- Wolf Grey/Action Green/Black/Cool Grey
- Loyal Blue/Vivid Orange/Black/Storm Blue
- Red Mahogany/Black/White/Scarlet Fire
- Black/Sport Red/White/Black
We first broke news of the Nike Air Huarache Bball 2012 back in May in seven colorways. The model essentially reformats the popular Air Huarache made famous by Michigan’s Fab Five and puts it on Nike Free inspired tooling with a deep multi-directional flex outsole.
Air Huarache Bball 2012 launches in first quarter of next year with a $115 price point.

i really don’t like how they changed the toe from the original update in may. and i’m disappointed to see yet another set of colorways popping up with no og colorways in site.
Free inspired? That must mean that they have put some sort of torsional rigidity bar in there somewhere, a substantial one at that. However, I was never a fan of the OG that this was inspired by, but these look interesting. Zoom Air would not a be a good thing in the shoe such as this, as that would make them too soft for hoops.
Finally another attempt at a Free basketball shoe, let’s hope they dared to push the envelope this time, not just create ‘the look’.
it looks like a cross between a free and a huarache….looks more like a cross trainer to me
