First look: Battier’s sixth shoe.
This is the next signature shoe Shane Battier may or may not wear depending if there is or isn’t a 2011-12 NBA season. Unlike Kevin Love who jumped shipped for 361 Degrees, Battier is staying put at PEAK and gets his sixth sneaker ride, appropriately named the PEAK Battier VI.
PEAK styled up the model in Memphis Grizzlies “away” colors with black commanding the base of the upper, blue accenting the midsole, laces, and logo badging, and yellow wrapping up the outsole, interior, and contrast stitching. On the tongue, Shane’s custom bat-like Battier PEAK logo can be found. The shoe also features what appears to be an outer surface “shell” wrap sheathing the upper, which evolves the design language of the previous Battier V that carried a full zip-up construction that covered the entire lace structure.
The PEAK Battier VI is starting to leak out in the China market now through early online sellers but likely won’t hit the US market in the near future until PEAK sets forth a distribution plan.
