Here’s to feeling good all the time.
While you don’t need to live in New England and drive a Volvo to wear Sperry Top-Sider or Penfield, it helps finish your outfit. A ski-racked Saab will do, as will the late model Mercedes that your grandfather barely drove to the links and had waxed once a week. Ok, enough with the facetious stereotyping. Yet there’s a grain of reality in that well-off image that syncs with Sperry’s and Penfield’s products. After all, the Sperry brand was born on a Connecticut beach, Penfield in Massachusetts. They probably went to Dartmouth before John Keats’s works at Harvard called them home. Ok, out of the system now. Anyway, it’s natural that they’ve teamed for a Fall/Winter 2011 collection that will nudge you to step your refined classy casual up.
The collection offers styles for both men and women. The guys get the Shipyard Rigger Boot in Black Herringbone Tweed, the Penny Woodland in Wax Camouflage, the Seamate 2-Eye in Black Herringbone Tweed, and the A/O Original Boat Shoe 2-Eye in Brown Leather/Corduroy. The ladies are fitted with Seamate 2-Eye in Black Herringbone Tweed and the Seamate 2-Eye Woodland in Wax Camouflage.
