SneakerFest Live Takes Over Charlotte

Two and a half weeks worth of Fest.

SneakerFest Live, a mega buy/sell/trade sneaker expo, is currently storming the city of Charlotte, North Carolina with a packed schedule of sneaker-centric commerce, art, and celebration. Hitting right in time for what is considered Queen City Sneaker Month, the event kicked off October 12 with the Le “SNKR” Bang party at Dharma Lounge in Southend Charlotte. From there the celebrations extend beyond sneaker-themed parties, says SneakerFest…

There will be educational sneaker culture events, as well as sneaker-themed mixtapes. Queen City Sneaker Month celebrations will be taking over Uptown Charlotte, Southend Charlotte, and North Charlotte on the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus.

“My thinking behind the QC Sneaker Month concept was that so many forms of fashion are celebrated with a whole week of designer showcases, and runway shows. We here at SneakerFest Live felt it was time to give the sneaker some shine,” says SneakerFest Live PR Director Kia Moore.

The sneaker celebrations will culminate to the buy/sell/trade sneaker expo SneakerFest Live on Oct. 29 in Uptown Charlotte at the Carole Hoefener Center, 610 E. 7th Street, from 10 A.M.-6 P.M. For $15 ($10 with flier) SneakerFest Live attendees can buy, sell, trade, and compete in a sneaker tournament all while watching breakdancers compete, DJs battle, and local musicians perform.
