Exclusive: Nike Air Max Hyperguardup

Stand down. Hyperguardup in 2012.

Joining the burgeoning Hyperfuse basketball family next year is the Nike Air Max Hyperguardup, which we give you a first look at here.

Previewed in five Fall 2012 colorways:

- White/Game Royal-White
- White/Gym Red-White
- White/Gorge Green-White
- White/Midnight Navy-Metallic Silver
- Black/White

Nike Air Max Hyperguardup adds a low profile Air-based silhouette to the Swoosh’s successful Zoom Hyperfuse franchise which enters its third year in 2012.

Anchored by a visible Max Air heel unit, Hyperfuse composite upper with mesh venting and a standard herringbone traction rubber outsole, the Hyperguardup takes over the price point held down by the Zoom Hyperfuse with a clean $100 box sticker. Get defensive about securing your pair starting in the second half of next year.

Does Nike intentionally make shoes that’ll collect dust on the shelves? It seems as if they’ve totally lost their way. It’s no wonder that people would rather play in retro Jordan’s.
