Fly Wades five days away.
The 2011-12 NBA season starts Christmas day, and there’s a really, really good shot that Dwyane Wade will start the Heat’s redemption campaign in the Jordan Fly Wade 2. Probably even this Black/Red edition, perfect for away games.
The big bullet points you should know about this shoe are that it has a synthetic Hyperfuse composite, full-length Lunarlon foam midsole, and an all new Wade logo on the tongue. Oh and that it releases December 7th for $145. That’s about it. And new pics below. Ok, done.

My Finish Line released these two weeks ago – on the quiet. Upper feels like the Fuse. Still not a huge fan of the LunarLon, but they did feel pretty good on the feet. WAY too expensive for what it is though.
You reviewing these, Duke?
Need a follow up to your Fly Wade review. Interested to know how they compare.
Way overpriced, and way too generic for a Signature shoe(everything seems recycled).
They’re nice shoes, but in the 80-100 category.
Reminds me of the Answer 6 from Reebok.
I meant to say the Reebok Answer 7.
Not sure, Yale. I would love too, but Nike has shown me no love since the Wade last spring. May have to use our connections.
The shoe looks interesting as construction and use of lunarlon, but design is too much on the safe side IMO.
The overall package reminds me of the UA supersonic (minimal foam based midsole, large shank, breathable fused upper, understated design), which costs just 55 bucks less…
I really don’t know what’s happening with Wade line…last year the fly-wade was released for just a few months (except on Nike ID, where it’s still available) and then it’s been replaced by the fly23, which is almost the same shoe without wade branding. Then you have this one which has no wade story/hints beside the controversial new logo…
Maybe in Beaverton they just want to keep Lebron sneaker predominance down there in Miami…;)
……looks like a rushed product…INCOMPLETE.
imho, wade needs a new shoe designer or he should have just stuck to wearing the game shoe… because the game shoe will have at least have some thought put into it design-wise. this seems to have no story or inspiration (if it does have one, it’s not apparent). it just uses borrowed, relatively old tech from nike… so i guess the story is the tech? but then if it is, then this design/idea is a few seasons late. i thought jordan brand had its own r&d?
