New meets old in familiar.
Gearing up for a public reintroduction in Summer 2012, a contemporary Swoosh hoops classic will refresh again in colors sure to please both new sneakerheads and old purists. Take this first look with us at Fall 2012 styles in the Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4.
Previewed in two colorways:
- Volt/Volt/Black
- White/Obsidian/Sport Red/Metallic Silver
In 2004, the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 debuted in a number of quintessential basketball colors, including the white-based with obsidian, red and silver accents seen here making a return. What wasn’t seen last decade was a retina blazing neon yellow or green (depending on who you ask) all over model as next year’s “Volt” pair is set to be.
Both old and new may have cause to unite against the machine however. We reported in September a $125 price point for the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 retro. For the Fall of 2012, Nike is listing the shoe at $140. With fast moving, industry expected price increases taking place next year, we’d imagine all 2K4′s have been kicked up to the $140 range.

…they are probably worth $140 to a person who ACTUALLY PLAYS BALL in them.My 10 yr old had the BLACK/BLACK and they were very durable.Had he not outgrown them,ofcourse,he still might have them.
