Imagine if Bob Cousy had stepped onto the fabled parquet of Boston Garden in the PF Flyers “Color Pop” pack back in 1953. Forget uniform violations. Fellow teammates and fans would’ve fainted. Opposing players so mesmerized by the Red/Aqua, or Black/Aqua, PF Flyers Center Hi’s that they’d run into picks unaware and dribble the ball out of bounds. After all, color TV was just being rolled out that year and black hi-tops were the shoe du jour. Folks weren’t exactly used to wild color combos. Yeah, in 1953 they probably couldn’t have handled the brightness of these shoes. Good thing it’s 2011 and you can.
The PF Flyers “Color Pop” pack is limited releasing early at Millennium Shoes and at Foot Express. Approximately 800 pairs total. Cousy is still around so make sure you tell him.
