Under Armour made up a jolly batch of Christmas shoes for its “Are You From HERE?” crew of Brandon Jennings, Kemba Walker, Derrick Williams and Greivis Vasquez for their 2011-12 NBA season openers which we get to take the bow off early here.
Brandon got a “Rudolph” edition of his UA Micro G Bloodline that was initially linked to Bango, the Milwaukee Bucks mascot. The shoe comes assembled with tan synthetic deer fur finish, jingle bell strap design pattern, green/red contrast stitching and red toe bumper “nose”.
Kemba’s UA Micro G Juke is fitted with a “Red and Velocity” theme, a remixed take on the traditional red and green yuletide colorway. All red upper with a neon greenish yellow accenting.
The UA Micro G Supersonic that was spec’d for Derrick incorporates classic Christmas silver bells-ish hue. A low cut style featuring the familiar tones of the season.
Then Greivis’ UA Micro G Juke plays it straight, with nothing but good old fashioned Christmas red and green taking center stage. White accenting, a “GV” interlocked on the heel, and “Feliz Navidad” stitched onto the tongue backing add a more personal touch.
Here’s to hoping the UA crew can unwrap these special makeup, one-off kicks in style with team victories on their debut.
You can grab the Bloodline, Juke, and Supersonic in non-holiday colorways now at UnderArmour.com and at other fine UA retailers.
