Sweet Home Chicago.
Well, Rip got to them first. Ray Allen could’ve done it. Joe Johnson would’ve been a solid choice. But this shoe has a deeper tie that needed to be honored. The stage they walked out upon was no coincidence.
It was fitting because it was Chicago, in front of the Bulls faithful, and the “Home” colorway MJ debuted way back in February 1989. Yes, the Air Jordan 4 White/Cements are officially back after a nearly 13 year wait (February 18th release), and a 10 year hiatus prior to that. Hmm, 23 years.
Rip did the Cements proud, starting at shooting guard and dropping in 17 points. It was a great retro debut night, except for the part where the Pacers kneed the Bulls in the groin, 95-90, and celebrated afterward.
Let’s jump into NBA Kicks. Watch for CP3 doing a CP3.V debut of his own, Iman Shumpert testing out some new adidas Crazy 8‘s, Mario Chalmers matching the Air Jordan XIX to his uniform, John Wall wearing “Whiteout” Reebok Wall 2‘s, Brandon Jennings bringing UA Micro G Bloodline “Compton Reds” to the table, Mike Bibby “Black Flipping” and more…

I’m curious to know what George Hill is wearing in the second photo! Thanks!
