Nike is hyping up January 19 as the grand unveil date of a still secretive “revolutionary product designed for all kinds of playmakers.” From everyday runners or golfers, to pro athletes like Kevin Durant or Hope Solo. Or as co-founder Bill Bowerman would say, “if you have a body, you are an athlete.”
The biggest hint we get in this new video aside from all the cross-category sports action is the logo for the Swoosh’s Apple iPod integration kit, which is prominently used across the company’s Running footwear lines.
Our best guess? This new iteration of Nike+ product will be able to track stats and feature enhanced digital user interactivity, no matter what activity that happens to be. It would essentially take a page out of adidas‘ already announced miCoach SPEED_CELL product line with soccer, basketball, and training shoes all equipped with two-way digital interaction, only drummed up to the next level. While the Triple Stripes have created a hollow cavity in their kicks to embed the miCoach function on 2012 lines, we haven’t seen or heard of any newly constructed Swoosh product that would surmise a similar type of device implantation in the Nike+ kit’s current form.
So what exactly is Nike debuting on January 19, 2012? Three more days until the mystery is solved…

Adidas did it first, but Nike will make it better
