damn, when the designer gets up there and actually describes the thought process behind the aesthetics, technology, purpose and reason, it really makes the shoe that much more interesting.
$200? maybe i won’t buy it, but it will be a shoe that, when it’s off the shelves, i’ll wish i had bought them (case in point, XVII mules, chutney xvi’s, snakeskin xi’s, jet flights, wovens, clogposites…the list goes on and on).
I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I really like Tom’s approach to design as being a balance between art and science.
Good to hear the inspiration of the shoe, especially since the wing tip is one of my favorite elements of the upper.
Just ordered the unc from nike – dude said there were only 6 pair left. I can not wait to play with these shoes!
Love the integration of the old dancing shoes concept into all the technology the shoes possess. Someone’s gonna go dancing on the court with these.
I’m SUPER skeptical that that bootie will not slide inside the outer layer of the upper. Feature over function. I’d be happy to be proven wrong if anyone wants to send me a pair to test;) Kobe cuts so hard he’s blown out the lateral side of his shoes… no way this thing is staying nested with those kinds of forces.
you must be joking… these are straight basura. what ballplayer says ” I think Im gonna go for 30 tonight I need a full length airbag… gimmicky nonsense and if you wear these shoes I’m gonna be forced to laugh at you… remember when Jordans used to mean something, now they are just a joke…
