When thinking of Fila it’s easy to think of the brand’s mid-90’s triumphs with Grant Hill and Jerry Stackhouse. But the backstory is that Fila has been style-centered since its founding in 1911, putting as much effort into casual design as it has in sports gear. With refined casual in mind, Fila introduces a five shoe stable for springtime: Deserta, Costa, Espa, Realo S, and Vespino.
The Deserta mixes a full leather upper with a stitched rand and tennis-style cupsole, while the Costa uses that same cupsole to deliver canvas and leather. The Espa features a low-cut jute sole look, the Vespino brings low-cut canvas to the party, and the Realo S spices things up with washed suede. Keep an eye on Sole Recon as these styles trickle out.
