The Heat’s had its ups and downs pretty recently. The team went 6-6 over a 12-game stretch since late March with big losses to OKC, Indiana, Boston twice, and a Chicago team with Rose largely watching from the bench. So Sunday’s battle with the Knicks in MSG was an important launchpad to get the troops playoff-focused and to remind everyone that they still have LeBron and D-Wade to contend with, and sometimes Bosh. With Mr. Li Ning himself (yes, of that Li-Ning) in attendance, LeBron turned in a typical monster performance of 29 points, 10 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals in a pair of black and red Nike LeBron 9 Lows. Pity he didn’t debut the “Liverpool FC” Lows early. Then D-Wade added to the Knicks’ misery with 28 and 9 in the Jordan Fly Wade Flight EV.
Mr. Li’s “former” brand face Baron Davis managed one bucket and one free throw for 3 points in 26 minutes wearing the Li-Ning BD Doom “Whiteout”. If BD was looking to impress his way back into Li’s good graces, this showing didn’t help. Neither did Carmelo’s 42 in white and orange Jordan Melo M8′s keep NYK from falling.
