NBA Kicks: Bron & Wade Get Some Pace In The Face

Probably three things we’ve learned through the first two Pacers-Heat games: Indiana is a deeper, grittier team than they get credit for, Miami’s title hopes hinge on the health of Chris Bosh’s tummy, and LeBron’s self-fulfilling choke prophecy keeps prophesying. Odds were that Bron and D-Wade would up the intensity dial to 11 in Bosh’s absence and overpower the Pace crew in Game 2. Only they didn’t. In the final minutes when things tightened up, Indiana worked steadily. David West knocked in paint buckets. George Hill canned two key free throws. Miami worked sloppily. LeBron whiffed on two free throws that would’ve put the Heat up one with 54.3 on the clock. Wade lost his lunch on a virtually clear path lay-up with about 18 ticks remaining (gotta use the left hand on the left side, DW). One Mario Chalmers three-point heave later, game over, 78-75, and the Pacers are going back to Naptown tied up 1-1. Bosh had better find a new ab muscle quick.

All the pertinent NBA Kicks action from Pacers-Heat Game 2, Clippers-Spurs Game 1, Sixers-Celtics Game 2, and Lakers-Thunder Game 1 ahead…
