OKC’s 4-1 triumph is probably best described as a five-game sweep. The Thunder’s young guns simply out-younged and out-gunned the Lakers. The series started that way, progressed that way, and ended that way last night, capped by a typical OKC scoring deluge in the second half. Kevin Durant started draining jumpers, Russell Westbrook was going in from mid range (including a circus-y “and 1” with Ramon Sessions’ help), and James Harden slashed and burned in his super sub capacity. Not even Kobe scoring nearly 47% of his team’s points slowed the rolling Thunder. The moral of the series is a profound one: Being young and talented is better than being older and talented.
NBA Kicks with Kobe in “Poison Dart Frogs” for the last time this season, RW going back to regular ol’ Hyperfuses, KG trying out a new ANTA colorway, Ray donning AJ 2012 “Home” PEs, Rondo being fidgety with his shoe choices in-game again, and the rest of Sunday and Monday’s playoff kicks action. And video of the RW circus-y shot because it’s fun to watch.
