This adidas Sprint Spike Is In Prime SP Position For The 2012 Olympics

Part of adidas’ Official Sportswear Partnership for the 2012 Olympics, the adiZero Prime SP is “the lightest sprint spike ever at just 3.5 ounces.” The last lightest spike was the adiZero Demolisher worn in the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

It was developed with the help of American sprinter Tyson Gay and British heptathlete Jessica Ennis and features a 1.3mm carbon plate (50 percent thinner than its nearest rival). The lightweight SprintWeb upper is almost entirely seamless.

Really sleek pair of spikes. Looks like it’s almost taking off for a run.
