CK: What part did Pat play in the Ewing shoe revival and what is his role now in terms of the overall company and model/colorway choices?

Goldberg: Patrick is very active with the relaunch of the brand and has final say on all models and colorways. He is very excited about the relaunch and to see peoples reaction to the product. I was with Patrick on Monday going over some old models with him as to what he liked and didn’t like.

CK: There’s apparel in the works as we’ve seen from the tees. Are you planning newly designed apparel and/or retroing apparel?

Goldberg: The tees will be a mix of old styles with some new graphics and updates, but the shoes will be kept 100% true to the original down to every minute detail. When we remake a shoe, I send the original to the factory to have it torn apart so they can see how it was made and mimic every material used as well. The 33 Hi took some time to bring back because we had to get the same original shape correct, and get the original thick suede as well. Even the boxes and basketball keychains will be back just as you remember them.
