CK: Will there be hidden gems from the line and rarities brought back in addition to the obvious classics?

Goldberg: For now we are just sticking to retroing the original catalog as there were over 100 different models and many classics out of those. We are taking the fans votes as to what we retro and have done market research with focus groups where we bring original catalogs and shoes to get peoples opinions on what they like and what they want to see brought back out. The consumer’s opinion is very important to us, as well feel that many of the shoe heads feel their opinions are not taken into account by the larger brands and we want to establish a connection to show that not only do we value what they say, but that they can literally choose what shoes we produce.

CK: What details can you divulge about the release format for the shoes? Online? In-store? Both? Can fans tell EA what they want to see release?

Goldberg: The release of the 33 Hi has had some delays due to getting the shoe 100% correct and to the exact original specs but it is finally time for it to release in the very near future. The shoes will be available in the top sneaker shops in the nation and we will be selling the shoes online as well. All of the exact details are going to be announced very soon to the consumers. We have plans to be in Europe by the end of 2012 as well.

There will be additional colorways of the 33 Hi dropping later in the year but I cannot reveal any more details. The future will see other models return to the market as well, and like I said we are letting the fans and consumers have a major say in what those models are.
