Blue Flywire Braces New Converse MVP Shoe

We first learned about the use of Nike Flywire technology on a Converse shoe back in June 2011 at the Swoosh’s annual investors update meeting. That public leak has come to retail fruition with the new Converse MVP Mid, a performance hoops shoe that prominently plays up the Flywire support strands that have become commonplace on checkmark-branded footwear over the last few years.

Two weeks ago we saw full reveal profile shots of the MVP in Neon Orange/Black and Gunmetal/Black. Now, Royal Blue/Black makes an appearance. Available now in the Philippines with wider global rollout this fall.

These are also available in White/Black and Red/Black. These actually do not look bad. I think that the main problem is that the Star Chevron is large and a little out of place with a “tacked on” look. Same problem some Nike shoes have had. The Defcon had a nicer, integrated look to that Converse logo. Maybe shrink the logo very small and stick it in the corner crevice and it would look a lot better.
