Nike designer Mark Miner was tasked with reimagining the classic Pegasus to create the Air Pegasus+. These are the images, sketches, and notes along his journey.
The Pegasus+ is available now at Nike.com.

As the designer who worked on the Pegasus 29 before leaving Nike and before MM took over the project, I think its very important to highlight the fact that the product creation process is very collaborative between design development and marketing. Credit should be given where it is due. MM is a talented designer and obviously very camera friendly, as Nike has chosen to make him the face of Nike Running design. But really? there were so many other people who were responsible for what Free and the rest of the running line looks like. Shame on you all.
Design is a little bit like art. If someone asks us all to take a picture of something we will all take a slightly different one. some will focus in, other focus out. some will shoot from top, others from below. every picture will be different. for sure you will need people to help you sell this piece of art, maybe to print it. but the most important part is the creative vision of the photography as this is where the difference between one picture and the other is created. with that being said a designer is part of the team, and as you said there are many people that play important roles. i don’t think that anyone is disrespecting them here… but i do feel that there is some jealousy or similar feeling from your part influencing your comment. let go and focus on the future.
