Sarcophilus harrisii, as Australian as Roos, INXS, and Foster’s (scratch that last one). Talking, of course, about the real life Taz. Aussie mag Sneaker Freaker odes to this marsupial made famous by Warner Bros. with the New Balance 998 “Tassie”.
It’s the 10th anniversary of the publication so SF wanted to do something close to their hearts to celebrate. They came up with a Wolverine suede-based colorway of “eggplant, violet, mauve, lilac, lavender and another un-nameable shade that looks like three-day-old chewing gum” while adding “triangular fangs to the forefoot, and they ride proudly within a lovely bone midsole with just a hint of peppery speckle.”
Though numbers are back on the upswing, a facial tumor disease has drastically lower the Taz species population. So SF is making this shoe a little more special by donating to help preserve their native land’s favorite critter.
