Matt Bonner wanted Converse to offer him an endorsement deal. They never did. So he’s been a perpetual sneaker free agent dabbling with shoes from Converse but favoring New Balance the last couple years.

He stayed true to the NB 8025 with regularity even though they betrayed him by exploding during a game, as seen frame by frame above.

Now, just when he’s taking a liking to adidas, his NB’s show back up on his doorstep, begging to work it out.

Be strong, Matt.

Sad that here is an athlete that wanted to wear Converse, but was not picked up. It now looks like there will no Converse endorsers in the future the way things are going. The last time that happened was when Converse was bankrupt. I feel sad for America’s first athletic company (even if owned by Nike).

I’ve always felt that the only reason that Nike bought Converse was to destroy the brand, then eliminating one more potential competitor.

New balance might want to check their wear testing, especially when distributing to pro athletes. Matt boner is the man, but not exactly the quickest on the court. Imagine what would have happened if it was someone like Amare or even Mcgee. Would have been broken shoe and exploded ankle.
