The preview becomes the show.
Just two days after Blake Griffin stirred sneaker chatter by wearing the Jordan Super.Fly in the Clippers season opener, Jordan Brand has announced that L.A.’s favorite power forward is officially part of the Jumpman team.
This is the latest athlete grab for the brand after the recent addition of star Russell Westbrook to go with rookies Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kendall Marshall, Jared Sullinger, and Jeff Taylor.
From Nike press release:
Today, Jordan Brand, a division of NIKE, Inc., officially announced that two-time NBA All-Star Blake Griffin has joined the brand. Griffin joins Russell Westbrook and rookies Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kendall Marshall, Jared Sullinger and Jeff Taylor as new members to the Jordan family for the upcoming season.
“We are thrilled that Blake is joining the brand,” said Michael Jordan. “Blake has captured the essence of what the brand stands for through his style of play and love for the game of basketball. He is an amazing athlete and person who we look forward to working with for many years.”
Griffin, who debuted the Jordan Super.Fly on Wednesday, will continue to wear the product throughout the season.
