NBA Kicks: Rajon Rolls The Sneaker Dice, Then Rolls His Ankle (Again)

Like a kid and a hot stove, Rajon Rondo couldn’t leave well enough alone.

Two years ago, he sprained his left ankle wearing Nike Air Max 360 BB Lows, then tempted fate again in them two months later during the 2011 All-Star Game.

Last night against Utah, RR thought he could sneak up on the BB Lows, finally tame them. Instead he rolled his right ankle this time just about halfway through the third quarter and spent the rest of the game on the bench.

The AM 360 BB Low has been a great shoe for most players. Not for Rajon, though. Maybe try again in another couple years?

OMG, Rondo’s playing style, with all the abrupt, stop-on-a-dime moves and change-of-directions paired up with a 360 Air Max base is just a disaster waiting to happen…He must really like that shoe though, smh. Get well soon, go Celts!
